Hee-Haw starts at 7:00 on Thursday, April 12 at the Fair Building. 
Wood Newton will be performing starting at 6:00. 
The Hee Haw show is all about country humor with comedy skits and one liners along with some music acts. We have local talent portraying some of the original cast such as Buck Owens, Roy Clark, Minnie Pearl, Grandpa Jones, Doc and Nurse Goodbody, Misty, Goober, Gunilla, Maynard,Barb, Southern Belle, Ida Lee, Mama and LaVerne, Junior Samples and LuLu.

Featuring this year will be Wood Newton, born and raised in Hampton and now living in Nashville as a song writer and musician. He has performed with several acts over the years including The Oak Ridge Boys, Steve Warner, Kenny Rogers and David Ball.

Some of his songs include “Bobbie Sue” performed by The Oak Ridge Boys, “Twenty Years” by Kenny Rogers, “Riding with Private Malone” by David Ball, “I Want Everyone to Cry” by Restless Heart, “Something Said Love” by Rita Coolidge, “What I Didn’t Do”, “I can See Arkansas”, “Do You Want to Make Something of It”, and “The Heartland” all by Steve Warner, “All Together Now” by Alabama.
